Sequel and other things
The journey through this series has been a great journey for me. I
spent a few years wondering if I would ever actually publish it. Why you
ask? Well, because as I started putting it down on paper it really was
personal. I could hear these characters "talking" to me, and sharing
with me their stories. I felt that if I allowed others "in" then it
would be a like letting others in on a secret that I was not suppose to
tell.
I love writing because it does allow me the chance to understand the
story, hear the story, live the story, and yes read the story before
anyone else does. I love that. I love to watch as these characters grow
right in front of me, before anyone else gets to see them. It is almost
like watching your child grow. You feel very partial to them, and you
are proud of them, but you also are not sure how much of them you want
to let go.
I recently went back and was reading some of the earlier writings on
this series, and I was amazed at how much Eve, Leah, and the rest have
grown into who they are today. In fact it is funny to see how some of
them even had different names, and again like a child, I can't imagine
them as anyone different now. It would be like me looking at one of my
kids and thinking, "I should have named you a different name!" It just
wouldn't be the same, because they have owned that name, and have their
name and who they are have blended together into one creation.
I am currently working on sequel to The Nephelium,
and I am so excited as everything unfolds in front of me. The sequel
will pick up soon after the first novel, but the reader will dig deeper
into the Clans, Arch Council, and the Alliance, and nothing is ever the
way it seems.
Before I get back to working on it, I want to say thanks for all your
support, because there is no way that this story would out there if it
wasn't your support and desire to learn more about those found in this
series.
